Dr. Dominik Lentz (45) has been assigned Senior Vice President of the Corporate Division of FUJIFILM Europe GmbH, Duesseldorf. The Corporate Division acts as a service unit for all Business Domains handled throughout Europe, namely Imaging, Graphic Systems, Medical Systems, Optical Devices and Industrial Products. The services combined in the Corporate Division are Corporate Planning and Corporate Finance, Human Resources, Legal, Communications, Logistics, Procurement, Information Technology, Security Trade Control, Customs Affairs and others. FUJIFILM Europe in Duesseldorf is the strategic headquarters of Fujifilm’s operations in Europe and is responsible for approximately 30 countries in the region. Lentz reports to Junji Okada, President of FUJIFILM Europe and is succeeding Yoshiaki Kawamura, who is returning to Japan in order to take over a new role within the Corporate Head Office. The change is effective as from 1 April 2011.
Lentz joined Fujifilm in 2005 and started as General Counsel of FUJIFILM Europe building up a European Legal Department. In 2009 he was promoted to Vice President Corporate Division, taking over this role in double function to the responsibilities as Head of the Legal department. His new role as Head of Corporate Division will also be in addition to his existing responsibilities as Head of European Legal and General Counsel. Lentz graduated from Cologne University, from where he was awarded his phD, specialising on International Commercial Arbitration. After working as Research Assistant at the Max-Planck-Institute for Comparative Public Law and International Law he was admitted to the bar in Germany in 1997. Before joining Fujifilm, he worked in an international law firm, since 2002 as a Partner.
