ETERNA-RSN consists of two different types of film, panchromatic and orthochromatic.

The panchromatic type is compatible with analogue sound and all three types of digital soundtracks: DOLBY digital, SDDS (SONY Dynamic Digital Sound) and DTS (Digital Theatre Systems). The orthochromatic type is compatible with analogue sound and digital soundtracks, such as DOLBY digital and DTS. The orthochromatic type can also be handled under the Fujifilm safelight glass filter SLG-3 (dark red).

The polyester base used in ETERNA-RSN is equipped with an anti-static layer, which eliminates concerns about dust and has enhanced durability enabling it to be used in a wider field. The film is processed under conventional processing conditions (e.g. Eastman D97).
The ETERNA-RSN has outstanding digital sound performance due to its position stability and excellent reproduction of high frequency with analogue sound due to its superior sharpness. Its high speed and optimum tone reproduction enable it to be easily utilised with general sound recording conditions.
