Featuring the new X-Trans CMOS sensor™ and an original FUJIFILM X-Mount and Hybrid Multi Viewfinder

FUJIFILM Corporation (President and CEO: Shigetaka Komori) are proud to announce the FUJIFILM X-Pro1, an all-new interchangeable lens camera system. The X-Pro1 features a 16 megapixel APS-C X-Trans CMOS sensor™, a brand new X lens mount, Hybrid Multi Viewfinder and three prime lenses.
Key Features
Setting new standards in image resolution
FUJIFILM have developed a new CMOS sensor called the X-Trans CMOS™. The X-Trans CMOS™ sensor is capable of delivering resolution that is parallel, if not superior, to a full frame sensor.
The new colour filter array paves the way for an ideal sensor that does not need an optical low-pass filter. While the optical low-pass filter is indispensable for the reduction of moiré and false colour generated by conventional sensors, it also degrades resolution. FUJIFILM has developed a new colour filter array that is inspired by the random arrangement of fine film grain, removing the need for an optical low-pass filter to solve moiré and false colour issues. In the array, RGB pixels are arranged in 6x6 pixel sets with high aperiodicity. Increasing the degree of randomness eliminates the fundamental cause of moiré and false colours – a problem that occurs in conventional arrays when shooting stripes and other repeating patterns. The presence of an R, G and B pixel in every vertical and horizontal pixel series minimises the generation of false colours and delivers higher colour reproduction.
EXR Processor Pro – As a result of using a film-inspired array, a more powerful processor is required to process the image signal data. So FUJIFILM have created the EXR Processor Pro. This development will maximise the full potential of the X-Trans CMOS™ sensor and deliver high speed and high precision image processing.
Prime FUJINON XF lenses deliver the highest image quality
Fujinon lenses have long been associated with delivering high quality images, with optics used for both broadcast TV and medium format cameras. Now the expertise borne out of this enviable optical heritage has been put into lenses for the FUJIFILM X-Pro1
Three compact XF Fujinon fast aperture prime lenses will be available at launch. The “XF18mmF2 R”, “XF 35mmF1.4 R” and “XF60mmF2.4 R Macro” all offer precise control over depth-of-field and deliver excellent out-of-focus bokeh thanks to the design of the moulded aperture diaphragm blades. The blades are curved to create a circular image at all aperture settings, while the very edges of each blade are meticulously rounded off rather than simply cut off, which delivers a sharper image. In addition, the solid feel of the high-quality metal barrel and detailed exposure setting in 1/3 step increments using the aperture ring fuel your desire to capture more photos with every shot.

FUJIFILM original “X-Mount” maximises lens performance
Specifically designed to maximise the mirror less design of the body the X-Mount has a short flange back distance of just 17.7mm. This means the rear lens elements are as close as possible to the sensor. The wide opening allows the lens to be mounted deeper within the body – up to 7.5mm (approx) from the mount surface – reducing the back focus distance of each lens to the minimum possible, thus achieving high resolution all the way to the edge of the image

Hybrid Multi Viewfinder – seeing is believing
FUJIFILM’s revolutionary Hybrid Viewfinder first appeared in the X100. With its ability to instantly switch between an Optical Viewfinder and Electronic Viewfinder the Hybrid Viewfinder has added a new dimension to the pleasure of composing photographs. For the brightest viewing image, and to keep shutter lag to a minimum, users should choose the Optical Viewfinder. Those wanting focus confirmation, exposure information, white balance information and depth of field indicators should switch to Electronic Viewfinder.
The Electronic Viewfinder provides an excellent “Live View” of your composition. This fusion of technologies allows users to enjoy composing their images through a bright viewfinder, but has the option to overlay vital picture taking information should this be required.
Changing between the two viewfinders is simple, thanks to the switch on the front of the X-Pro1 body. When attaching a FUJINON XF-series lens on X-Pro1, both the viewfinder magnification and bright frame size automatically switch to support the lens focal length. Viewfinder magnification switches to 0.37x for the 18mm lens, and to 0.60x when the 35mm or 60mm lens is mounted, letting you compose your shot with the bright, crystal clarity of an optical image. The X-Pro1 also gives you the freedom to manually set a focal distance and switch between viewfinder magnifications.

Cutting-edge technology in a beautiful camera body
The top and base are made from die-cast aluminium alloy which, combined with high quality touches like precise engraving on the top-plate and hand-enamelled lettering on the lenses, underlines the fact that the entire X-Pro1 system is built without compromise.
This eye for detail extends to the shutter speed dial and exposure compensation control that is precision milled from solid metal. Details like the shutter speed dial lock mechanism and the recessed exposure compensation dial are designed to prevent accidental movement of settings. The knurled finish on the sides of the dials feature rows of minutely milled squared pyramids for superb grip and confidence.
“Made in Japan” confirms that every part of the construction has had to meet FUJIFILM’s highest standards. The lightweight, precision-milled lens hood (included with the lens) has been exclusively designed and machined from aluminium for the FUJINON XF lens. Its compact size delivers superb light shading performance in a design that perfectly matches X-Pro1 styling.
Diameters of the aperture ring and focus ring of the 3 Fujinon XF-series interchangeable lenses are only slightly larger than the barrel for sleek uniformity of design. Precision machined from metal, the reassuring click of the aperture ring at each setting and the comfortable torque resistance when operating the focus ring enhances the shooting experience.
The X-Pro1’s leather-like finish designed for a quality look and durability. The synthetic leather offers resistance to the elements and high durability, while an original manufacturing process produces a texture with the look and feel of authentic leather.
The X-Pro1 has been designed with the photographer’s comfort in mind. The natural fit of the eyepiece provides excellent shielding from light leakage. A dioptric adjustment lens can also be attached.
Extending FUJIFILM’s photo film legacy
In film cameras, multiple exposures is the unique photographic technique of superimposing one image on another by double exposing a single frame of film. Through advanced digital processing the X-Pro1 can simulate this technique - just select Multiple Exposure mode and take your first shot. By viewing it in the Hybrid Multi Viewfinder or on the LCD screen, you can see how the finished multiple exposure will look and precisely frame the second shot.
Further enhancements have been made to the Film Simulation modes with the new Professional Colour Negative Film Modes (Pro Neg. Std and Pro Neg. Hi) designed for X-Pro1 users working in the studio. If you’d like to shoot the same scene in a variety of Film Simulation modes, the X-Pro1 offers Film Simulation bracketing, along with AE, Dynamic and ISO bracketing.
FUJIFILM has also included Film Simulation modes, where the X-Pro1 simulates the colours and tonal qualities of popular FUJIFILM emulsions. These include the vibrant colours of Velvia, the softer skin tones of ASTIA and the natural look of PROVIA.
Enhanced Monochrome Expression with Colour Filters - Replicating the effects of monochrome film photography the X-Pro1 lets you use colour filters to expand your photographic interpretation. Heighten contrast with the yellow filter and red filter or brighten greens and deepen reds with the green filter. Just as professional film photographers once selected a filter and printing paper to complement their creative vision, you can easily fine tune image quality with these filters. For those after a more nostalgic theme there’s a sepia filter too.
Premium Accessory Lineup
Hand Grip, HG-XPro1 (sold separately) - Giving you more secure and balanced handling of the camera, the X-Pro1 accessory grip smoothly moulds to the lines of the camera body for a uniform look. The grip helps balance the weight of the camera body, allowing for a more comfortable hold.
Shoe Mount Flash EF-X20 (sold separately) - Being designed to match X-Pro1’s distinctive styling. One dial lets you choose between two modes: AUTO - automatically optimizes flash for both outdoor daylight and dark indoor shots; MANUAL - for hands-on control. In addition, the built-in flash diffuser has an easy one-touch operation to soften harsh flash effects.
Leather Case LC-XPro1 (sold separately)* - Beautifully moulded to protect the X-Pro1, leather case is designed to allow fast access for easy shooting. Attention has been given to every detail, from the colour and spacing of the stitches to the adoption of a hidden magnet rather than a snap for closing the case. The premium case is completed by the inclusion of the authentic leather neck-strap and hood case.
Protector Filterφ39mm and Protector Filterφ52mm - This is a protection filter with high transmissivity without affecting the visible light. The Super EBC (Electron Beam Coating) of these would control harmful borrowed light effectively. The frame of filter given the semi-gloss black coating fits a high sense design. Or the inner side of filter given the matt black coating restrains a reflection effect and does design well.

Fujifilm FinePix HS30EXR - Long zoom versatility and exceptional image quality

Fujifilm is delighted to announce the launch of the FinePix HS30EXR, the latest in a long line of...

The HS30EXR includes a number of key specification improvements over the HS20EXR model it replaces. The Electronic Viewfinder (EVF) has been greatly improved while a switch in power supply to a Lithium-ion rechargeable battery delivers up to 600 pictures per charge. These are just some of the changes that will ensure the HS30EXR keeps the Fujifilm name at the forefront of the bridge camera market in 2012.
New sensor, even better pictures
The FinePix HS30EXR features an improved EXR-CMOS sensor, which gives the user even more versatility, most notably in low light conditions. By redesigning the shape of the photo diodes used in the EXR-CMOS sensor, the images display 30% less digital noise at higher ISO settings, which results in smoother tones and better low light images.
The EXR-CMOS sensor offers three different user-selectable options: High Resolution (HR) delivers the best results in bright lighting conditions or when fine detail in an image is of paramount importance. Wide Dynamic Range (DR) Priority is ideal for capturing images in high contrast light situations, when the user wants detail in both shadow and highlight areas, while High Sensitivity and Low Noise (SN) Priority is the one to choose in low-light. All of these modes can be selected, or it can be left to the HS30EXR to choose through the EXR AUTO function.
Never miss a shot
Composing images on these HS-series can be done using either the 3-inch tilting LCD or the Electronic Viewfinder (EVF), both of which have been substantially improved over the HS20EXR. The LCD uses 460,000 dots to display menus and images with great clarity and now benefits from a brighter screen that ensures it's easy to view, even in direct sunlight.
Meanwhile, the FinePix HS30EXR’s EVF is also larger at 0.26-inches and features 920,000 dots, compared to only 200,000 dots on the HS20EXR, making for a far clearer viewing image.
Viewing comfort has also been boosted thanks to a 22 degree viewing angle (16 degrees on the HS20EXR) and the whole picture taking experience has been improved through a substantial reduction in starting up period compared to the HS20EXR. The starting up period is now just around a half compared with that of HS20EXR. The writing period after continuous shooting has also been dramatically cut to approximately 2 seconds (compared to 20 seconds on the HS20EXR).
A lens for every occasion
Sitting at the heart of the HS-series is a Fujinon 30x optical zoom lens offering a huge focal range from 24-720mm (equivalent to a 35mm camera). This enables photographers to tackle almost any type of subject matter from sweeping landscapes to fine details on wild animals.
But there may be occasions when users require even more telephoto power to pull in really distant details and, thanks to the Intelligent Digital Zoom function, this is now possible. This doubles the focal range, delivering a massive 60x zoom with a maximum telephoto setting of 1440mm. What's more, the Intelligent Digital Zoom function doesn't suffer from the problems typically associated with digital zoom capabilities. This is achieved through intelligent image processing where the HS30EXR boosts sharpness in selected areas without increasing digital noise.
Movie making and picture taking made easier
Like the HS20EXR, the HS30EXR also captures 1080p Full HD movies at 30 frames per second, but this hasn't stopped Fujifilm's designers making some key improvements to ensure movie capture is even easier.
Now, it's possible to manually focus during movie shooting for more creative focusing effects, while those preferring to auto focus will benefit in a reduction in focus hunting, so they can keep up with the action. When it comes to still images, the technologies used for Face Detection and Tracking AF have been combined to create Face Tracking Auto Focus. Ideal for capturing all the sporting action and active children, this unique feature allows users to follow the action, ensuring that the faces of friends and loved ones are kept sharp and perfectly exposed.
Finally, the FinePix HS30EXR has also been improved with the addition of a customisable Function (Fn) key on the rear of it. This enables fast access to regularly used functions without needing to go into the full menu each time.

Fujifilm FinePix SL300 and FinePix SL240 bring flexibility, creative control and outstanding optics to the new 2012 bridge camera range

Take the next step towards fantastic pictures with the new FinePix SL300 and SL240 high-powered...

Following in the tradition of the company’s hugely popular S-series cameras, these models offer similar image quality and versatility to that of a DSLR combined with the convenience and portability of a compact camera.
Outstanding optics
The highlight of the new FinePix SL-series is the Fujinon optical zoom lenses, which offer a high-quality 30x and 24x optical zoom. The extended zoom ranges make the SL300 and SL240 ideal for travellers looking to record their adventures; sports fans keen to capture their teams on camera or any photographer looking for a step-up from their current compact camera.
Plus, with a close-focus distance of 2cm, users can also pick out precise close-up details, too. The zoom lenses offer smooth zooming and precise framing of scenes, and with the addition of a zoom lever on the barrel of the lens photographers are able to zoom in and out without taking their hands away from the camera – guaranteeing that they’ll never miss the desired shot.
Remarkable image quality to match the lens range
Each camera houses a 1/2.3-inch 14 mega-pixel CCD sensor, representing the very latest in Fujifilm’s award-winning imaging technology. The powerful sensors are optimised to work perfectly with the Fujinon zoom lenses, ensuring all the detail in a scene is captured with exceptional clarity. To assist in low-light situations or when shooting handheld, the cameras offer a maximum ISO rating of ISO 6400* for maximising available light and ensuring that shutter speeds are fast enough to capture action without blurring.
Sensor-shift Digital Image Stabilisation is offered by both devices and applies the latest in image enhancing processes to bring out detail and preserve the finer points of a picture.
For additional illumination, the SL300 and SL240 feature a powerful internal flash that will reach subjects up to 7m away, plus they also have a hot-shoe for connecting separate external flash to add professional lighting capabilities.
See the whole picture
The SL300 and SL240 boast a 3-inch LCD screen that offers 460,000 dots and an ultra-wide 160 degree viewing angle. This means they’re not only clearer to see when composing pictures the super-bright screens make playback and reviewing movies and stills easier and more enjoyable. The cameras also have Electronic Viewfinders (EVF) that offer 200,000 dots screens, so users can be assured that they’re seeing a good representation of what the camera will capture. The EVF also now benefits from the addition of a diopter adjustment, making it much easier for spectacle wearers to look through the viewfinder.
Improved performance
In addition to the new technological features the SL300 and SL240 have been optimised to provide a faster start-up, improved speed of Auto Focus and an upgraded response time. All this combines to ensure that users won’t miss a shot. The power supply of these cameras has also been re-engineered to run on Lithium-ion batteries, allowing them to capture up to 300 frames on a single charge.
Creative possibilities
For times when users want to go beyond the still image, the new SL-series cameras are capable of capturing 720p HD movie at 30 fps. A mini HDMI output port enables both cameras to be quickly connected to an HD ready TV so users can enjoy watching their movies back on the big screen. Still images can also be reviewed in this way, showcasing those edge-to-edge image definitions.
Professional look and feel
The new SL-series cameras have cosmetic features and design flourishes that are strongly reminiscent of DSLRs and other pro-level cameras, including a rubberised coating to make both models comfortable in the hands for extended shooting sessions, and to also offer the reassuring build quality expected from a premium camera. The cameras’ buttons are ergonomically located and the metal-like finish completes the overall package to appeal to both the beginner and the enthusiast photographer alike.

Specifically designed for users who want maximum reach without compromising image quality or convenience, the S4500 and S4200 feature high-quality 30x and 24x Fujinon optical zoom lenses respectively, while also offering advanced features in compact, robust, easy to use bodies. In addition, these cameras also offer key performance improvements in speed and functionality to ensure photographers have all they need to capture high quality images in a wide range of shooting conditions.

Get close to the action
The Optical Power Zoom lenses make them ideal for wildlife enthusiasts, keen travellers or sports fans – anywhere that a longer zoom length will help users capture better images. And for the FinePix S4500, fast and accurate framing is made by easier with a precise 45-step zoom control.
The Fujinon’ lenses have the company’s hallmark level of expert engineering to minimize chromatic aberrations and distortions. They offer edge-to-edge sharpness and exceptional clarity in images. The S4500 and S4200 also offer a Super Macro mode that focuses down to just 2cm for detail-filled close-ups.
Designed for performance
Inside these FinePix S-series cameras is Fujifilm’s unique 1/2.3-inch 14 megapixel CCD sensor offering the renowned image quality that users across the world expect from Fujifilm’s award-winning cameras. In low-light situations, users can adjust the ISO from 64 up to 6400*¹ and use Fujifilm’s proprietary CCD-Shift image stabilisation to help keep images sharp.
As well as high-quality stills captured as both Fine and Normal quality JPEGs, the S4500 and S4200 offer 720p HD movie capture at 30fps for smooth movies that will impress friends and family – especially when the HDMI output is used to connect the cameras to an HD ready TV for instant playback.
Manual shooting mode, accessed via the mode dial, gives photographers full control of manual shooting such as shutter priority mode or aperture priority mode. In addition to the new technological features offered by the S-series cameras, they have been optimised for faster start-up, improved speed of Auto Focus and an upgraded response time. All this combines to ensure that users won’t miss a shot.
*ISO3200/6400 is effective in S mode.
See the whole picture
Users of these S-series cameras can choose between composing their pictures using the 200,000 dots Electronic Viewfinder (EVF), and the 3.0 -inch LCD screen on the rear of the camera. The 230,000-dots LCD screen has been redesigned to make it simple to play back stills and movies, navigate the cameras’ menus and frame pictures – even when in bright sunlight. The cameras’ rear screens have an improved brightness over previous models to ensure details stand out and colours appear more realistic.
In addition, Face Detection technology is included to automatically lock onto faces appearing in scene, and Fujifilm’s SR Auto modes will make light work of any situation, capturing the very best quality pictures no matter how technically challenging the exposure.
These S-series cameras have fully controllable exposure modes for the more advanced photographer. There’s even the option to Date Stamp images to ensure users never forget when they captured their new favourite photographs.
Shooting with convenience
Ergonomically designed to fit comfortably in the user’s hand, even throughout long shooting sessions, these super-zoom cameras offer impressive levels of technology considering their compact size. For convenience, power is provided by four widely available AA batteries, making them ideal for travellers or holidaymakers as there are no bulky chargers or plug adapters to carry around. With the innovative improvements and the wide-reaching zoom ranges, either model will prove to be a rewarding choice for all keen photographers.

Fujifilm FinePix F770EXR - incredible zoom and fast focusing in a compact body

Fujifilm will set the new standards for digital long zoom compact cameras in 2012 with the launch...

In addition to a wide-reaching zoom range, the FinePix F770EXR boasts an improved 16-megapixel EXR-CMOS sensor, enhanced GPS functionality and stylish design touches, yet the dimensions of the body have remained small. With such a powerful performance in a pocket-sized package, this new camera will give both families and regular travellers the perfect camera to capture a huge range of photographs.
EXR-CMOS – Flexible and versatile image sensor
The F770EXR features Fujifilm’s unique EXR-CMOS sensor which has been further evolved. The EXR Auto, which automatically optimises settings according to scene types, has now been expanded to offer 103 different shooting patterns and which pushes the camera’s low-light capabilities even further.
By re-shaping the photo diodes, the EXR-CMOS sensor displays a 30% reduction in digital noise over the previous version at high ISO settings. Users can now capture great detail in low-light scenes without resorting to flash, while being confident that noise won’t spoil the ambient light effects.
The EXR sensor’s unique construction also allows it to change its characteristics according to the lighting conditions. Photographers can select High Resolution (HR) Priority for the best possible picture quality, Wide Dynamic Range (DR) Priority for scenes with high contrast or High Sensitivity and Low Noise (SN) Priority for great results in low light, or leave the camera to make its own choice by selecting the EXR AUTO mode.
Maximum zoom, minimum size
The body of the FinePix F770EXR is the smallest housing in the world* to include a 20x optical zoom lens. The 25-500mm focal range (equivalent to a 35mm camera) is able to tackle a vast range of subjects from wide-angle landscapes through to tightly cropped wildlife pictures. The wide zoom range capability is due to the newly designed Double Sliding Lens System that features two additional lens elements within the optical construction to extend the zoom capabilities and boost image resolution.

In addition to the 20x optical zoom, the FinePix F770EXR also benefits from Fujifilm’s Intelligent Digital Zoom feature which effectively doubles the focal range. This means that users get a maximum telephoto setting of 1000mm*2, to pull in even the most distant objects. Thanks to clever image processing, the Intelligent Digital Zoom feature doesn’t affect image quality in the same way as a conventional digital zoom function, so users can be confident that image quality will remain, even when the lens is zoomed out to the maximum focal length.
*1　Among 20x long zoom compact models as of December 2011.
*2　Equivalent to angle of view on a 35mm camera.
Speed so you never miss a moment
The FinePix F770EXR has been given additional enhancements over its predecessor, making it even better to use. The FinePix F770EXR has been optimised for faster start-up. Turn the power ON and it is ready to shoot in only 1.5 seconds. In addition, shot-to-shot times are very short (minimum 0.8 second and 1.0 second respectively). The AF speed has also been decreased to as little as 0.16 seconds, helping users lock onto their subjects in a flash. So, the FinePix F770EXR is ready for action when you are!
A landmark in GPS functionality
Travelling photographers, or those simply wanting to pinpoint their location, will benefit from the FinePix F770EXR’s improved GPS functionality. A new high sensitivity antenna also helps to find the camera’s position more quickly.
A further improvement sees the new model now include Route Log, where the camera creates an illustrated map showing where you’ve travelled and Photo Navigation, where the distance from and direction to a previous location are displayed.
Users can record and edit their favourite places in the camera with the new MY Landmark function. Also included in this model is the Landmark Navigator feature, which behaves in two different ways according to how the camera is held.
The FinePix F770EXR will indicate nearby landmarks and the distance the user is away from them. Hold the camera upright for normal picture taking and you’ll see the name of the nearest landmarks – and the distance to them. Point the lens towards the ground and the LCD converts to a radar view to show locations relative to where the user is standing. Both functions are ideal for those photographers keen to see all the famous places a location has to offer.
Powerful features for stills and video capture
In addition to offering a powerful zoom lens, the FinePix F770EXR has a full set of features that allow users to take full control of their picture taking. Whether you want the simplicity of point and shoot photography or a greater level of control over aperture and shutter speed, the FinePix F770EXR has the features required.
Output from the internal flash has also been boosted, with subjects up to 3.7m away now within reach, while for those preferring to shoot with just ambient light, ISO performance of up to 12,800* is available.
The FinePix F770EXR also contains the option of a RAW file format for unaltered files and has continuous shooting at up to 11 fps (Image size M only) for action shots and 1080p Full HD movie recording at 30 fps with stereo sound, which is perfect for playing back on a HD ready TV. High Speed movies can be recorded at up to 320 fps and all movie modes now come with Face Tracking Auto Focus, which ensures that faces stay sharp and correctly exposed even when the subject is moving. Even if a focus-locked subject moves within the frame, the camera will keep the focus on part of the subjects face for continuous on-focus tracking.
*6400:M mode or lower, ISO12800:S mode
Better handling for great results
Along with specification upgrades, the FinePix F770EXR has some key handling improvements to help make picture taking even more enjoyable. On the front of the camera, an ergonomic, rubberised handgrip* ensures users can get a firm hold and gives extra stability when shooting at the extreme telephoto length.
The top-plate, meanwhile, has the same angled mode dial from the FinePix F600EXR for simple selection of exposure modes, but now has the addition of a Function (Fn) button for faster access to regularly accessed features including ISO setting, Film simulation, etc. On the back of the camera, the 3-inch LCD shows images and menus with great clarity thanks to the extra bright 460,000 dots LCD, making it easier to see in bright lighting conditions.
The F770EXR features an Advanced Anti-Blur mode, in which the camera takes 4 continuous shots at high sensitivity, and merges them with an advanced image processing technology to correct the effects of vibration. This helps produce images that have less noise and vibrations caused by shaky hands even in hand-held shooting at night in poor lighting conditions or at long zoom.
The FinePix F770EXR will be available in black, red, blue and white finishes

Fujifilm FinePix F660EXR: The travel compact camera that takes you further

Fujifilm is proud to announce the FinePix F660EXR, a premium digital zoom compact that builds on...

Though no bigger in size to its predecessor, the FinePix F660EXR uses Fujifilm’s completely 16 mega-pixel EXR CMOS sensor to give users the very latest in Fujifilm’s acclaimed imaging technology. Other advancements include an improved three-inch, 460,000 pixel LCD screen and innovative face tracking to ensure users never miss their intended target. Add to this the Fujifilm F-series’ trademark of superb images in low-light, a Fujinon 15x optical zoom lens and a stylish, robust exterior, and it’s clear that the FinePix F660EXR will quickly become an essential travel companion.

Technology at the heart

With Fujifilm’s pioneering 1/2-inch 16 mega-pixel EXR CMOS sensor at the heart of the FinePix F660EXR, users are guaranteed unparalleled image quality, whatever the lighting conditions. The unique sensor combines Fujifilm’s EXR and Back Side Illumination (BSI) technologies to deliver superb results. The user can switch between three EXR modes to change the sensor’s characteristics according to the lighting conditions, or let the camera optimize settings in the Auto EXR mode. The camera’s ISO mode can also be selected automatically and offers a range of 100 up to 3200, but also stretches to an incredible 12800 (Image size S only).
The Fujifilm EXR CMOS sensor has also been redesigned to priorities light sensitivity with a 30% reduction in digital noise over its predecessor, ensuring smoother tones in both highlight and shadow areas at higher ISO settings.

See the big picture

The FinePix F660EXR’s three-inch LCD screen has been optimized with the new Monitor Sunlight mode for displaying clear images even when viewing the screen in direct sunlight. 460,000 pixels on the LCD guarantee crystal clear images and movie to make it even simpler for users to assess exposure, explore the camera’s menus and capture their unmissable moments.
Even though the FinePix F660EXR packs an impressive 15x optical zoom (24-360mm equivalent to a 35mm camera) into its pocket-sized exterior, keen adventurers never know what they’ll encounter next – so for those unexpected photo opportunities, the FinePix F660EXR includes an Intelligent Digital Zoom function. This doubles the focal range with no obvious drop in quality, thanks to the application of innovative image processing to boost sharpness in selected areas without increasing digital noise.
For unmissable landscapes or scenes rich in detail, the Fujifilm FinePix F660EXR has a wide-angle field of view of 24mm and even a seamless Motion Panorama 360 mode to capture scenes in stunning widescreen.

Go beyond still images

The FinePix F660EXR’s brilliance is not limited to still capture: the camera offers 1080p Full HD movie capture at 30fps for seamless quality and adds new face tracking. This ensures users’ movies stay in focus, no matter where their subject moves. Combining the best of Face Detection and Tracking AF to precisely follow subjects’ faces throughout a scene, the FinePix F660EXR’s movie functionality and stereo sound recording will captivate keen videographers of all abilities. A high speed movie option allows more creative users to slow down fast-moving action by shooting an amazing 320 frames per second.

Maximize picture-taking enjoyment

As well as the exciting new technological advances contained within the FinePix F660EXR, the camera offers many premium features that users have come to expect from Fujifilm’s F-series of high-powered compacts. A full-complement of exposure modes enable users to quickly capture a scene without sacrificing image quality, plus the F660EXR also offers more conventional exposure modes such as aperture priority, shutter priority and full manual to take complete photographic control over images.
Fujifilm’s traditional film simulation modes are also present and allow users to experiment with their creativity when capturing their adventures on camera, while those wanting to capture the action haven’t been forgotten with up to 11 frames per second possible in the Image Size [M][S] at continuous shooting mode.

Advanced 3D shooting fun

The FinePix F660EXR features a new 3D Mode. Two exposures of the same scene are saved in the MPO (Multi-Picture Format) to create great images that appear to have been shot in real 3D. An overlapping guide on the LCD screen makes it easy to position the exposures, so even a novice can create impressive 3D effects. Fujifilm’s proprietary high resolution 3D print system produces natural, beautiful 3D images captured with the FinePix F660EXR
Available in four distinctive colours : black, red, blue and gold. (colours may vary depending on your country)

Fujifilm FinePix XP150: Ultimate compact for the most demanding shooting conditions

With the launch of the FinePix XP150, Fujifilm will introduce a camera that redefines the new...

Building on the success of previous XP models, the FinePix XP150 is the ultimate camera for anyone who lives for the great outdoors and wants to be able to document their exploits every step of the way. Whether climbing mountains or diving oceans the FinePix XP150 has what it takes to deliver high quality stills and movies whatever the conditions.
Built to last
With a solid build, a rubberised coating and riveted metal handgrip the XP150 is the toughest FinePix yet. Underwater photographers can dive twice as deep with a FinePix XP150 compared to the existing FinePix XP30, which means they can keep on shooting to depths of 10m.
Walkers, climbers and mountain bikers, meanwhile, will benefit from the camera’s increased shock proofing capabilities allowing the camera to survive a drop from up to 2m. And if you like to shoot in the coldest of climates, the FinePix XP150 will keep functioning all the way down to –10°C. Dust and sand are no match for the camera either, thanks to its extensive weather seals in all the important places. What’s more, the zoom lens comes with a water repellent coating to prevent water droplets spoiling your shots and even the battery/memory slot cover comes with a new double lock design for ultimate protection from the elements. In short, whatever your active lifestyle throws at the FinePix XP150, it’ll keep on coming back for more.
Advanced GPS functionality
Thanks to the FinePix XP150’s new high sensitivity GPS antenna it’s now quicker and easier to pinpoint your location, no matter where you are in the world. And if you’re moving around and taking pictures, the FinePix XP150 will even track your movements and show the route on the LCD. Alternatively, you can create a pictorial map of the locations you’ve visited using the bundled My FinePix Studio software and your PC.
The GPS functionality doesn’t end there. With an electronic compass and Photo Navigation functions, users can ascertain the direction in which they’re shooting, their altitude and the direction and distance to a previous location. The latter is an easy way to find your way back to a photogenic location, or a wonderful beach or even a great restaurant!
Great pictures made easy
The FinePix XP150 isn’t just built to take the most extremes of what life can throw at it. The FinePix XP150 is also a high quality picture-taking machine that is designed to deliver superb results time after time.
And that process starts before you’ve even pressed the shutter release, with improved start up and focusing times over previous FinePix XP models ensuring that you’ll never miss a shot. The 2.7-inch LCD is also now brighter than previous models and has an anti-reflection coating that makes it easy to compose images, even when you’re in bright sunshine.
Image quality is assured thanks to the 14-megapixel CMOS sensor and 5x optical zoom lens that provides a focal range of 28-140mm (35mm equivalent) for a wide variety of shots. The FinePix XP150 also offers CMOS sensor shift image stabilisation to reduce camera shake and has a wide ISO range from 100 to 3200. Couple this to a wide range of shooting modes plus continuous shooting at up to an impressive 10fps and you’ll soon realise what a tough customer the FinePix XP150 is. But the camera will also appeal to budding movie makers by offering Full 1080p HD movie capture at 30fps and an underwater movie function to capture life under the waves in superb quality. Watching back on an HD ready TV is simple too, thanks to the micro HDMI connection that allows a quick, simple hook-up for instant reviews.
Long lasting performance
As FinePix XP150 owners aren’t likely to be the sort of people who are within easy reach of mains electricity, the camera is fitted with an NP-50A rechargeable battery enabling approximately 300 pictures per charge.
The XP150 will be available in five colours: black, silver, orange, green and blue.

Fujifilm FinePix XP50: Takes everything life can throw at it

The FinePix XP50 is the latest model in the XP series of all-weather compact cameras and follows on...

The XP50 offers better image quality for both stills and movie capture, an LCD screen with improved visibility and a body with ergonomic styling for no loss of grip, even when wet. Plus, with a 14.4 megapixel CMOS sensor optimised for rapid response times – the FinePix XP50 is ideal for all-action photography on land or sea.
Built to last
Like its predecessor, the FinePix XP50 is outstandingly durable. It’s waterproof to a depth of 5m and can capture both movies and still images underwater. The camera’s casing will withstand shocks or drops from a height of 1.5m and cold environments, withstanding temperatures down to -10°C. Dust is also brushed aside as all of the camera’s access points are specially sealed for ultimate protection.
Unlike many ‘tough’ products, maximum durability doesn’t lead to a compromise in image quality. The FinePix XP50 boasts a 14 megapixel CMOS sensor and a new image processor for impressive pictures. With ISO sensitivity up to 3200 and CMOS Shift Image Stabilization users’ shots remain crisp and sharply focused, even when capturing pictures in low-light environments. Plus, the FinePix XP50 also has a micro HDMI output to connect the camera to an HD ready TV to see both images and movie in High Definition.
Never miss a shot again
In addition to the premium image quality offered by the FinePix XP50’s sensor and processor, the camera’s lens system will support users in their pursuit of the holiday photos.
A 5x wide-angle Fujinon optical zoom lens (28-140mm equivalent to a 35mm camera) gives plenty of picture taking versatility, plus the 9cm minimum focus distance lets photographers fill the frame with detail and vibrant colour.
And it’s not just the camera’s tough casing that’s built to survive: the lens also has a special water repellent coating to help minimize water droplets that can obscure or blur images.
In addition to high-resolution 14 megapixel stills, the FinePix XP50 can capture 1080p HD movies at 30fps for super smooth playback with the new processor helping to minimize distortion. Want to pack more into a single picture? The FinePix XP50 also has Fujifilm’s Motion Panorama 360 mode, which automatically stitches together individual images captured in a single sweep across a scene to create one panoramic picture. The user can choose to capture still images continuously at a rate of up to 10fps to ensure that every moment is recorded in detail.
Ready for action
As well as the camera’s durability, several other features make the FinePix XP50 the perfect partner for action-filled adventures or extreme holidays. On the back of the camera, the super-bright 2.7-inch LCD is easy to view even on a sunlit beach. In addition to the improved brightness levels a unique Anti Reflection Coating protects the LCD screen to reduce distracting reflections. A double lock on the access hatch keeps the memory card, battery, USB and mini HDMI cable connection ports safely protected from water, dust or dirt.
Available in black, blue, green, orange and silver, the FinePix XP50’s exterior has also been updated for both a more stylish appearance and an improved, easy to hold surface that make it easy for users to maintain control over the camera’s features even when both the camera and user are underwater.

Fujifilm FinePix Z1000EXR: Stay connected in style

Fujifilm’s Z-series cameras have always combined the very latest in style with cutting-edge...

The camera’s super-stylish exterior contains a premium 16 megapixel EXR-CMOS sensor and Fujifilm’s latest imaging technologies for great results every time.
In addition, the FinePix Z1000EXR adds a Wireless Image Transfer function that allows users to connect their Android™ smartphone/tablet or iPhone™/iPad™ with the camera and upload high-quality images to social networking sites in seconds.
Perfect pictures, every time
The FinePix Z1000EXR’s 16 mega-pixel EXR-CMOS sensor helps users to always get great results, regardless of the conditions. The EXR-CMOS sensor has also been redesigned to prioritise light sensitivity with a 30% reduction in digital noise over its predecessor, ensuring smoother tones in both highlight and shadow areas at higher ISO settings.
Fujifilm’s acclaimed EXR AUTO mode assesses the amount of available light, establishes the type of scene, tracks motion and locates any people within the frame before applying Advanced Anti Blur technology and choosing one of three optimised settings: High Resolution Priority mode for well-lit subjects and optimum image quality, Dynamic Range Priority mode for scenes of high-contrast or High Sensitivity and Low Noise Priority mode for smooth, sharp images taken in dark environments. Users can also choose to select the modes themselves, but with EXR Auto mode’s 103 different shooting patterns that can be applied to a scene, it’s unlikely they’ll need to!
Always connected
With the FinePix Z1000EXR, fast image upload to social networking sites no longer means low quality pictures. The camera can be connected with any AndroidTM smartphone/tablet or iPhoneTM/iPadTM via the simple download of the “FUJIFILM Photo Receiver” free app to their device, which includes easy to follow instructions to get them quickly connected.
To start uploading, users press the FinePix Z1000EXR’s touch icon to connect to their smartphone and the images can be transferred to Android™ smartphone/tablet or iPhone™/iPad™ ready for uploading to social networking sites.
Despite the advanced imaging technology contained within the FinePix Z1000EXR, the camera’s menu system is designed to be both intuitive and easy to operate. The FinePix Z1000EXR’s wide 3.5-inch LCD offers touchscreen control with multi-touch capabilities for smartphone-style navigation. What’s more, the screen offers a 460,000 dots resolution for exceptional clarity when reviewing images and movie or composing a shot.
Capture the perfect face
In addition to the advanced imaging technologies offered by the FinePix Z1000EXR, the camera also contains several features for improving the appearance of people in their photographs.
Face tracking combines Face Detection with Tracking Auto Focus to ensure any faces in a scene are always sharp, no matter where they move. The camera itself has a wide-angle Frame Assist Mirror located and specially engineered to show the whole of a scene to assist users when framing a shot of themselves.
If there’s more than one person to capture on camera, the FinePix Z1000EXR offers innovative image timer technology for both couples and groups: activating Couple Timer and the camera waits until two faces are close together before capturing an image, while Self-portrait Timer detects up to four individual faces, giving friends and family time to get ready for their close-up.
The beautification doesn’t stop when the shutter button’s pressed. After capture, users can choose to apply face retouching functions (Skin smoothing/brighten) to improve appearance even further.
Choose your own shooting style
The FinePix Z1000EXR isn’t just about still images – it also offers Full 1080p HD movie capture at a rate of 30fps for smooth and clear movies. Face Tracking Auto Focus locks on to any faces in the scene and will keep them sharp throughout filming, regardless of motion or the user recomposing the shot using the camera’s Fujinon 5x optical zoom lens. Stereo sound capture adds more realism to movies captured on the camera, and both stills and movie can be reviewed on an HD ready TV - when connected using the camera’s mini HDMI output.
When capturing still images, the optical zoom lens’ range can be extended using the camera’s Intelligent Digital Zoom function. This assesses the zones of the photo and selectively applies image processing to increase the length of zoom to 10x without reduction in quality that’s normally associated with digital zoom enhancement. And if users want to get closer, the FinePix Z1000EXR offers a minimum focusing distance of 9cm for macro pictures full of colour and sharp detail.
Substance and style
It may be packed with innovative photographic technology, but the FinePix Z1000EXR doesn’t compromise on appearances. Even though it’s only 18mm thick at its thickest point, the FinePix Z1000EXR appears even more sleek, streamlined and ready for anything.
The FinePix Z1000EXR will be available in three chic colours: pink, jade green, white.
