FUJIFILM Europe GmbH announces the deployment of a completely integrated solution for Radiology, Cardiovascular and Women’s Imaging at the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) which is held from 6 to 10 March in Vienna, Austria. The company has become the first major vendor to deliver seamless, Web-based access to all radiology, mammography and cardiovascular images and information from one workstation, with a single sign-on and familiar user interface. This solution, newly available features, and future capabilities are all being demonstrated at the congress.
Together these modules, Synapse Radiology, Synapse Women’s Healthcare, and Synapse Cardiovascular build on the success of the industry’s first true Web-based PACS, providing a complete imaging and information platform to support the needs of enterprise imaging.
At the core of Fujifilm’s integrated solution is Synapse PACS, which is now installed at more than 2000 sites worldwide. Two main goals – enhanced communication and optimized productivity for radiologists in any imaging environment – were the impetus behind the development of the new Synapse Radiology features to be available in the next product release, Version 4.0.
SYNAPSE Women’s Imaging
With the introduction of Synapse Radiology 3.2.1 at last year’s ECR, Fujifilm introduced a suite of enhanced mammography features with efficiency of use in mind. Now with the growing adoption of full field digital mammography (FFDM) and a continued focus on further improving mammography functionality, Fujifilm has added a new workstation with more advanced features to further aid the interpretation of FFDM and other breast imaging studies.
Synapse now has a comprehensive and totally integrated cardiovascular component – Synapse CardioVascular 4.0. Cardiology and radiology users have access to a completely Web- based solution for cardiovascular imaging with full viewing and reporting capabilities using Web communication protocols, secured via SSL, in addition to a Web URL single-click application download and installation for easier deployment.
