Fujifilm introduces the new line-up of AMULET system for enhanced digital Mammography

Improved usability and a more comfortable examination experience with superior image quality

At the European Congress of Radiology (ECR) 2011 which is held from 3 to 7 March in Vienna, Austria, FUJIFILM Europe presents the new line-up of AMULET systems for digital mammography. The systems are “AMULET f “, the full function model suitable for both routine and Stereotactic biopsy examinations, and “AMULET s “, the standard model suitable for routine examinations. Both of them have new functionality and ergonomic design that achieves improved usability and a more comfortable examination experience while maintaining superior image quality. The performance of “AMULET f “ can also be used as a platform for advanced 3D applications. AMULET (current model) was the first FFDM system to use dual layers of amorphous selenium (a-Se) in its detector. Combined with the first use of innovative Direct Optical Switching (DOS) and legacy 50-micron resolution – the world’s best resolution for DR-based FFDM. “AMULET f “ and “AMULET s “ succeed the same technology and deliver exceptional image quality that provides facilities with the confidence they need for the detailed visualization that’s required in mammography. The new line-up of AMULET systems are expected to be available in the European market in the third quarter of 2011.
