FUJIFILM Europe B.V. (Fujifilm) have signed an agreement with Heidelberger Druckmaschinen AG (Heidelberg) for the transfer of Fujifilm´s pressroom chemicals and coating operations in EMEA to Heidelberg. The transaction is envisaged to be completed by July 2017.
The transfer includes the handover of both production sites in Reutlingen, Germany, and Kruibeke, Belgium, as well as their sales subsidiaries in Spain, Sweden and Finland which employ a total of about 70 employees. These operations account for a sales volume of approx. €25 million. Fujifilm will continue to focus on supplying total pressroom solutions to plate customers.
Heidelberg is a respected leader in the manufacturing of printing presses and solutions for the printing industry. Hence this transfer provides a broader perspective to all related employees.
