Fujifilm exhibites its gas separation membrane technology at Adipec 2010

Sint-Niklaas, Belgium, 8 October 2010  -  FUJIFILM Europe NV, announces its presence at Adipec 2010, the international oil and gas exhibition, which takes place from November 1st – 4th in Abu Dhabi. The main purpose to participate in this important exhibition is to present Fujifilm’s gas separation membrane technology and for the company to introduce itself in the natural gas industry. Whilst Fujifilm’s original activities relate to the field of imaging and photo film, a lot of its current developments and product creations have been realised thanks to the organisation’s expertise in thin film manufacturing and processing as well as multi-layer coating. These developments have found their way into medical and life science. But Fujifilm is also active in a number of industrial areas with products such as prescale measuring film, non destructive testing systems, microfilm and industrial films and also semiconductor materials, flat panel display components and a whole range of functional films. In particular Fujifilm refers to micro filters and gas separation membranes. Fujifilm’s Adipec stand is located in Hall 1, stand 01075, and will showcase a prototype of the gas membrane module as well as a line-up of Fujifilm AstroPore micro filters. These micro filters are utilised in process filtration applications in markets as diverse as food & beverage, semiconductor manufacturing and many other industries. Fujifilm has been manufacturing micro filters for over 20 years. Gas separation membranes are an intelligent alternative to traditional methods of gas separation. Financially, a gas separation membrane installation brings more advantageous CAPEX and OPEX, thus improving the plant profitability. On an operational level, gas separation membranes provide a more flexible, simple and reliable process. Also the ecological advantages are evident: a safe and chemical free process with lower emissions of hazardous components and lower energy use. In terms of applications, gas separation membranes help accelerate development of new and existing gas fields. Greg Jackson, New Business Development Manager Europe at Fujifilm, states: “Fujifilm’s presence at Adipec proves the company’s drive and long-term vision to continue to grow and develop further into new fields. We owe this to our significant investment in R&D - approximately 7% of the company’s consolidated annual turnover - and our high level of production quality standards. Thanks to these efforts we continue to develop innovative products to enhance the quality of life.” Contact for more information:
