Fujifilm wins ‘Storage Media Brand of Choice’ award at the Storage Awards

25.07.2012
We are proud to announce that Fujifilm won this year’s ‘Storage Media Brand of Choice’ Award at the annual Storage Awards held on 14th June at The Grand Connaught Rooms, Covent Garden. Voted by the readers of Storage Magazine, winning the award demonstrates how strong Fujifilm’s reputation is in the storage media market. This year’s Storage Awards has been quoted as being the best awards yet, with 400 of the industry’s finest in attendance. Over 8,500 readers voted across fifteen different categories (41,000+ votes cast in total – a new record!) for their favourite products, people and companies. Fujifilm Recording Media are joint sponsors of the awards, sponsoring the ‘Tape Based Product of the Year’ Award as well as hosting the champagne reception at the event. After a highly successful year for Fujifilm Recording Media’s data storage products, during which we have significantly increased our brand share of LTO tapes, winning this award is a great reward for the team’s hard work. Sarah Bell, Product Manager and Business Executive, was on hand to collect the award and said of the event: "It was a great honour to collect the award on behalf of the Fujifilm Recording Media team. We are delighted that our pioneering technology and comprehensive tape storage solutions have been recognised by the industry". For over 40 years, Fujifilm have been at the forefront of coating technology, constantly working to increase tape storage capacities, while dramatically improving speed and durability. Fujifilm proprietary ATOMM, recently advanced NANOCUBIC™ and Barium Ferrite (BaFe) technologies evolved as a result of our dedication to product quality and innovation, allowing companies such as IBM to demonstrate multipleterabyte storage capacity on a single cartridge, while assuring our future product roadmaps. The unique structure of BaFe particles will allow even greater storage capacities and increased reliability – perfect for long archival storage. With our commitment to technology, innovation and quality - it is easy to see why Fujifilm was voted Storage Media Brand of Choice.
