Fujifilm continue their support of the Glasgow Caledonian University (GCU) Best Research Performance student prize. This year the prize was awarded to Rachelle Rui Zhe Tan for her project exploring whether the administration of gadolinium-based contrast agents (GBCA) during MRI examinations causes gadolinium accumulation in the adult human brain. Rachelle was also awarded the Society of Radiographers’ Imaging and Therapy Practice Magazine Student Competition in 2018.
Rachelle will now be returning to her post as General Radiography Radiographer at the Singapore General Hospital and she is hoping to specialise in computed tomography in the future.
“I have enjoyed my time in Glasgow and I’m delighted to have been awarded the Fujifilm prize for Best Research Performance” said Rachelle.
Adrian Waller, General Manager of Fujifilm Medical Systems said
“At Fujifilm we are dedicated to supporting the next generation of radiology professionals, and we’re proud of our longstanding associate with GCU and their students. We wish Rachelle every success in her future career.”
