Fujifilm is helping make the world a better, healthier, and more interesting place. Learn more about what we’re about.
Since 2018, Fujifilm had installed four Visionary Suite room solutions and five mobile units at Tameside and Glossop Integrated Care NHS Foundation Trust. But the installation of the fifth digital imaging room at the hospital this year was undertaken in the shadow of lockdown.
Despite the challenges this situation posed for both organisations, Fujifilm and Tameside General Hospital worked together to ensure the project was completed safely and efficiently.
“Installation was super-efficient as Fujifilm utilised the difficult but quiet period during the pandemic to their advantage” said Helen Johnson, Associate DM Clinical Support Services/ Radiology Manager. “The Fujifilm digital imaging solutions – rooms and mobiles - have benefited the radiology service and patients at Tameside in many ways. Workflow efficiency, improved image quality, dose optimisation and reduced physical fatigue of radiographers to name just a few. We are looking forward to increasing our fleet of mobiles by another two units soon, and our continued investment in the Fujifilm systems demonstrates how much we value both the quality of the equipment and the excellent service we receive from the Fujifilm team.”
“This installation is just one example of how our teams have adapted to the recent challenging circumstances and continued to deliver exceptional service for our customers” said Declan McGregor, Modality Service Team Leader at Fujifilm. “We already have a large install base at this site and great relationships with the Tameside team, so we understood the departmental workload, configuration preferences and network integration requirements. Working with the Tameside team we completed the installation in good time and they were able to hit the ground running with their new equipment.”
