Advanced optical viewfinder with 'real time' shooting data display

See the shutter speed, aperture, ISO, focusing area and other shooting information perfectly clearly, even in low-light conditions.

Advanced Optical Viewfinder

  • Conventional optical viewfinder
  • FUJIFILM X20's optical viewfinder

Comprising two aspherical lenses, two glass prisms and other high performance optical elements, the real-image optical zoom viewfinder delivers 85% coverage and a 20° horizontal apparent field of view. It also features the Digital Trans Panel, an LCD panel less than 1mm thick, which provides a clear display of the focus area, shutter speed and other shooting information without affecting viewfinder brightness.

Viewfinder displays changes colour according to shooting conditions

The newly developed Digital Trans panel automatically switches the colour of information in the viewfinder according to the scene and shooting conditions. Normally displayed in black, shooting information switches over to green LEDs for enhanced visibility in dark scenes. Autofocus confirmation is also displayed in green and, should a focusing error occur, the display switches to red to warn the user.

Special prism is the key to viewfinder brightness

The adoption of a Dach glass prism in the advanced zoom viewfinder contributes to both FUJIFILM X20's compact size and exceptionally clear, bright view.

Eye sensor

Raise the X20 to your eye and an in-built sensor will automatically switch to viewfinder mode. Lower the camera, and the display switches to the rear LCD. Alternatively, users can select to always display images on either the LCD or the viewfinder depending on personal preference.

Diopter adjustment

Located on the left-hand side of the viewfinder, the dial lets you adjust viewfinder focus from -3.5 to +1.5m-1 (dpt) for comfortable viewing even for glasses wearers.
