Digitisation That Can Cope With Large-sized Imaging

Imaging a large area - the whole spine or leg.

FUJIFILM offer a long-view cassette for imaging large anatomical structures and stitching software that can combine separate images into one. With these new features, image capture and efficiency of diagnosis can be greatly improved.

Imaging large areas with ease

FUJIFILM'S (35x90cm), (35x102cm) and (35x124cm) long view cassettes allow Imaging Plates (IP) to be loaded and processed on the FCR image plate reader without manually removing them from the cassette. The lightweight and simplified design makes it easy for radiographers to perform specialised applications without interruption.

All long-view cassettes use a patented design featuring latches at either end of the cassette to facilitate ease of workflow. The IPs inside the cassettes overlap by 1" to ensure that no image data is lost. The cassettes include markers which allow FUJIFILM'S stitching software to automatically compose images. Grids, wall stands, and IPs are available separately.

Long view imaging cassettes are available in the following sizes:

  • 35.4 x 124.5 cm
  • 35.4 x 101.7 cm
  • 35.4 x 83.0 cm
  • 25.2 x 58.0 cm
  • 24.0 x 57.0 cm

Instantaneous stitching of multiple IPs

Fujifilm's Automatic Image Stitching Software enables the display of the entire spine or leg on a single image.

  • Displays up to three individual images.
  • Automatically merges images together by aligning markers on the image. Can be manually adjusted.
  • The image is processed and an optimised image is displayed.

Auto-density correction of low density portions of the IP stitched boundaries to obtain a smooth image

Issues often associated with image stitching software include difficulties in image alignment and variations in density of the composed image. Fujifilm's comprehensive, advanced image composition processing eliminates manual alignment and compensates for differences in density in the image. Fujifilm's Image Stitching Software enables faster exam processing, higher diagnostic confidence, and quicker image interpretation.
